As always when planning routes there are sections on the map that look great but until they are walked you do not understand the problems faced by busy roads rather than country lanes and trees that obscure routes with good views that can add to the enjoyment of a good walk.
Two such sections were from Benenden to Sissinghurst Castle and Kilndown to Scotney Castle.
Successfully re-walked and very pleased with the results, the amended routes will be incorporated into Three Castles and an Ironmaster’s House for walking later this year.
I celebrated with ‘Legend’, the final Sandhurst beer to try. A darker beer slightly stronger than the previous two beers at 4.8% but still with that enjoyable bitter after taste and it will become a definite favourite.
